The dog was thrown to die at an abandoned uninhabited house
Thomson’s life was divided into “before” and “after” on the eve of the most family and fun holiday of the year. He, like all dogs on the planet, was looking forward to the New Year. After all, this is such a cool time! The whole family and close relatives gather at a huge table full of goodies to mark a significant date. At this time, Thomson, more than ever, gets so much warmth, affection, attention and love! And sometimes there will be a chance to try a rare yummy! It is a pity that this time was by no means happy for Thomson.
Now the dog doesn’t remember those events. But still something remained in my memory. For example, as the owners silently with a serious look looked at each other, took the usual leash, car keys, they called Thomson. A motor started up in the car and after all the pets got into the car, the car started off slowly. We didn’t go for long, but during this time Thomson already imagined what he would do on New Year’s Eve. The anticipation of the holiday is sweet time. “Perhaps the owner, along with his wife and Thomson, go shopping, to buy food and gifts,” Thomson thought. But it was not there! Thomson was tied to a rusted fence, the car started up just as slowly, started off, and the dog remained.
Thomson waited an hour, waited two, waited three. At the fourth hour, Thomson realized that it was a betrayal. From resentment, pain and fear, he tried to make a couple of attempts and call for help. But, realizing that he was left alone at the end of the world at an abandoned house, he had to save his strength.Who knows how much more he should grieve like that. That's all Thomson remembers. He whispered this story in his ear and walked lonely back to his aviary, now in his native shelter.
Eyewitnesses found him and reported the abandoned to volunteers. Thomson was taken to a local shelter. His sad look said everything for him. Thomson is in advanced age. Maybe this was the reason for the ruthless refusal. The owners wanted Thomson's death, this is obvious to everyone. They left the dog in cold winter literally dying of hunger where, most likely, no one would find it. But Thomson is strong, he survived.
Now the dog is taken care of. He is about seven years old, vaccinated, neutered, with a passport. Self-sufficient, does not trust everyone and not immediately. But as soon as this happens, the dog changes before his eyes. Very kind, sensitive and reverent. He no longer hopes to get into a new family, as he hopes for some attention from those who care, help, affection, awe and love.
