I love art as a form of conversation of the subconscious with the world. Theater, cinema, music, painting - all to one degree or another felt and studied. But recently, another phenomenon has burst into my life - performance. I happened to be very mistaken, considering the performance to be everything that is loudly, brightly and powerfully broadcast from the stage during a mass event. I was not mistaken only in one thing: in the power of the effect.

Performative art has no exact definition. There is a distinctive feature of his creation (s): the emphasis is not on statics, but on action, process. To do this, you must have 4 conditions: time, space, artist, viewer.
Is it like a miniature theater?
Being similar to the theatrical art, the performance differs in that it exists in a real place and time, and not in a conditional one.
Perhaps you read about the famous performance, during which the main role was assigned to the audience. At their disposal were 6 hours and 72 items, including even a pistol with a bullet. Items were used at the discretion of the audience. The inexperienced public slowly but surely chose the path of violence.

The external action was as follows: the artist was lying on the ground, breathing rhythmically, and ... that's all. This is what you can see. And the following depends on the depth of perception, understanding of the process of exclusion in the world, knowledge of history and art. Actually, as at any creative event. Actually, as in life.
I watched this for more than an hour and a half, and the lines from Lyudmila Rusova’s monologue “The Place of Dancing”, also part of the exhibition, flashed through my headphones. Listening to “life as an action of dying”, the well-known balance and problems with its retention, about imprisonment of the external and internal freedom, you feel incredible calm at the present time.And in conjunction with observing what is happening on the earthen square, you achieve a state of total peace.
It is very important to be (with) yourself in this ultra-reactive world. And art allows you to breathe calmly and evenly, not to fuss and be as focused on the process as possible - to meditate.
And I would have sat and sat, but .. But according to the schedule that evening I had a performance in my favorite theater in Minsk. Shakespeare's comedy. But the effect of the performance, that magical atmosphere, did not leave me. Such is it, performative art. I hope there will be an opportunity to feel and see the work of this direction.
